Life is like a roller coaster ride with no optional park benches. At times it is simply a slow uphill climb during which one can enjoy the scenery. Then without warning, it seems, one is plunging downward, thinking , "I don't think I can take this." About the time you think you are going to die from the stress, then it slows and the uphill climb resumes. There then ensues a series of twists and turns, even at times turning one up-side-down. All at once the ride is done and some are disappointed and run to get in line for another ride. Others are relieved and seek to "get back on their feet" after the experience; and, like me, decide to forgo another ride.
The trouble is, that in life we cannot forgo the ride. We need to learn to accept the twists and turns, knowing that God will bring a time of rest after a stress time. He is merciful as well as wise. If we just "hang on" He is faithful to reward us in the end.

That's very encouraging. I think we could all use the uphill climb about now. :)
