Snow Removal

The trusty snow shovel has lasted through many generations without much change.  An innovator comes along every so often and markets a break through in making the task easier, but it seems we all still have the reliable original design.
In our garage there have been several attempts.  The manual snow plow came first.  I have two damaged disks in my lower back to attest to its futility.  Thankfully the blade edge got roughed up and it is gone for good.  Next came the snow blower.  I have never needed to use one because it doesn't require two to make it go.  The current one will not gather up the snow nor throw it, so I don't know why it is still in the garage.  I bought an ergonomically correct shovel last year, but it doesn't seem to reduce the work outlay any.  The best innovation yet is the truck with a blade on the front that cleared away the 8 inches of snow that arrived today.  We will still have to get out the trusty snow shovel to remove the snow left by the truck, and the ridge that will appear across the driveway after the street crew goes by.  Some things never change!

Just get a four wheel drive and blast your way through the ridge. In a week the snow will be gone anyway. :)
