The Questions

Ephesians 6:13: "Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand."
Something in this verse jumped out at me yesterday(as it often does) that I have slid over in the past. "...after you have done everything..." What exactly does that mean? Is having truth, righteousness, readiness with the gospel of peace, faith, and the Word of God what I need to do? Or, is there more? Has the "day of evil" come in our current world? There certainly is an abundance of evil permeating every aspect of our lives. The haunting questions: What is God's evaluation of "everything?" And ultimately, have I done everything? Is the Spirit speaking to me through this passage that I need to be doing something more?
I ask for your input and for your answers.

Stopping by to read your blog. My thought at the moment is that God will enable His children to do exactly what He wants them to do. Yes, we do have a responsibility to obey, but He will bring it about. We will be ready.
