We have sinned by killing babies before they are born in sacrifice to self. (Compare to the passing of babies through the fire in sacrifice to the ancient's god, Molech, who God called detestable.)
We have sinned by accepting the homosexual lifestyle as normal. (The reason for the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.)
We have sinned in making dishonesty a way of doing business in commerce and government. (See the warnings by the Old Testament prophets.)
We have sinned by refusing to honor You in the public square. (Remember Nebuchadnezzar.)
We have sinned in becoming complacent about living and teaching the message of Jesus the Christ.
We have sinned by worshipping the gods of materialism, heroism, self, lust, worldlyness, etc.
The hard part is that confession is not enough. Repentance is a turning away from sin. Am I going to do my part in spreading the Good News and teaching the world about the Way to eternal life? I pray for boldness and courage to do so. I pray that all believers lead the way so that God's blessing will envelop us all, not His wrath.

Very true! I would add that we need to repent of our sin of making the state our provider and god.
